New Delhi: TP Solar Limited (TP Solar), a wholly owned subsidiary of Tata Power Renewable Energy Ltd. (TPREL), has signed a contract with the Maharashtra State Power Generation Company Limited (MSPGCL) to supply 300 MWp of ALMM-certified solar modules. The modules will be used for the Mukhyamantri Saur Krushi Vahini Yojana (MSKVY) 2.0 project.

The contract, valued at ₹455 crore, is part of MSPGCL’s larger 750 MWp tender finalized through a competitive e-Reverse Auction (eRA) process. The modules will be delivered to multiple locations across Maharashtra within the current year.

TP Solar operates India’s largest single-location solar cell and module manufacturing plant in Tirunelveli, Tamil Nadu, with a capacity of 4.3 GW each for cells and modules. The facility has been developed with an investment of ₹4,300 crore, supporting India’s solar manufacturing self-sufficiency and the country’s vision for a Net-Zero carbon future.

Equipped with advanced TOPCon and Mono PERC technologies, the Tirunelveli facility produces ALMM-certified and DCR modules using India-made cells. Tata Power’s initiative reinforces its leadership in the solar rooftop and utility-scale segments while contributing to India’s renewable energy goals.
