New Delhi: Renewable energy firm Greenzo Energy has secured a ₹500 crore contract to develop a 120 MW ground-mounted solar project in Nepal, marking a significant step in South Asia’s clean energy collaboration. The project, set for phased completion by 2025, will be constructed across 12 clusters of 10 MW each, with a high-tension transmission line connecting it to the Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) grid, ensuring surplus power flows back into the national grid.
Greenzo, India’s only indigenous alkaline electrolyzer manufacturer, will serve as the EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) provider, underscoring its expertise in large-scale solar installations. Commenting on the development, Sandeep Agarwal, Managing Director of Greenzo Energy, said, “This project marks a significant step in our journey to advance sustainable energy infrastructure and strengthen cross-border energy partnerships. We’re committed to delivering each phase with precision and transparency.”
The project is expected to generate over 500 jobs locally, with end-to-end execution managed by Greenzo’s Executive Director, Kushal Agarwal. “This order is more than a business milestone; it’s a shared vision for a cleaner, greener South Asia,” he stated.
Greenzo has been working with Nepalese authorities and project developers for over two years to bring this initiative to fruition, strengthening its position as a trusted partner for renewable energy in the region.
