New Delhi: Hartek Group’s Power Systems business unit has secured a ₹117 crore contract from Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (PGCIL) for expanding power infrastructure in Gujarat.
The project involves the extension of a 765kV AIS substation and work on 400/220kV substations, reinforcing the country’s grid expansion efforts.
The contract highlights Hartek’s growing role in India’s power sector, particularly in enhancing transmission capacity and integrating renewable energy.
“Securing this critical project from PGCIL marks a significant achievement for us and highlights our leadership in the Extra High Voltage (EHV) segment. It demonstrates our ability to deliver complex, large-scale transmission solutions that are essential to India’s evolving energy infrastructure,” Simarpreet Singh, Group Executive Director and CEO, Hartek Group, said in a statement.
The 765kV substations are expected to improve transmission efficiency and grid stability, aligning with the Central Electricity Authority’s (CEA) projections for substantial grid expansion in the coming years.
“This project is a vital addition to the nation’s grid expansion efforts, and we are proud to contribute to reliable power delivery and renewable energy integration. As we continue to grow, projects like these strengthen our market position and reinforce our commitment to excellence in the power sector,” Singh added.
Hartek Group has undertaken several high-voltage projects across India and continues to strengthen its position in the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) sector with large-scale, complex power transmission solutions.
