New Delhi: NTPC Group achieved the milestone of generating 300 billion units (BU) of electricity in FY 2024-25 on December 8, completing the task in just 252 days. This is 10 days ahead of the achievement in FY 2023-24, when the same milestone was reached on December 18.
The company’s installed capacity stands at 76.5 gigawatts (GW), with an additional 29.5 GW under construction, including 9.6 GW of renewable energy. NTPC has set a target of 60 GW of renewable capacity by 2032.
NTPC, India’s largest integrated power utility, contributes to one-fourth of the country’s electricity requirements. The company has diversified into new areas, including e-mobility, waste-to-energy, and green hydrogen solutions, while also participating in bidding for power distribution in Union Territories.
The company’s diverse portfolio includes thermal, hydro, solar, and wind power plants, reflecting its commitment to delivering reliable and affordable electricity. NTPC continues to adopt clean energy technologies as part of its transition to a greener energy future.
