CHARGE ZONE to install 500 new supercharging stations, boosting India’s EV infrastructure, ET EnergyWorld


New Delhi: CHARGE ZONE, India’s rapidly expanding EV charging network operator, has announced plans to significantly increase its supercharging stations across the country. In a strategic push to enhance its infrastructure, the company aims to set up 25 new stations within the fiscal year, with a long-term goal of establishing 500 stations capable of delivering power outputs from 360KW to 1.2MW.
This expansion represents a sixfold increase in charging capacity over existing fast-charging models and underscores CHARGE ZONE’s commitment to supporting India’s growing electric vehicle (EV) market.Kartikey Hariyani, Founder and CEO of CHARGE ZONE, highlighted the success of the company’s pilot rollout which showed substantial utilization by inter-city electric cars and buses. “The supercharging stations, operational for six months, have been met with excellent customer feedback, showcasing remarkable efficiency with an average charging time of 15 to 20 minutes,” said Hariyani.

The expansion will cover major routes including Bangalore-Chennai and Mumbai-Ahmedabad, aligning with the company’s vision to transform national highways into renewable corridors. CHARGE ZONE’s stations will use solar power and battery storage to ensure sustainable operations.

“Our network expansion is a key step toward realising a sustainable transportation ecosystem, and we are dedicated to advancing the adoption of electric buses, trucks, and personal vehicles across India,” added Hariyani.
