She said it was terrible to walk out of the hospital on Friday, as she had done after his death, and still not be able to leave with her baby.
A spokesperson for Joondalup Health Campus issued a further statement on Friday afternoon stating that Al Hulow had been monitored four hours after the induction.
“The timing of these observations is in accordance with the established protocol which is comparable with evidence-based policies and guidelines for induction of labour in other hospitals,” the spokesperson said.
“There is no evidence that Ms Al Hulow’s waters broke at 4.30pm … in that scenario, care would have changed, and the balloon catheter would have been removed.
“Staff followed all usual processes in relation to taking photographs, foot and handprints of Amir, which were provided as a memory package. We are concerned that the family feel they did not receive all the items and will discuss this further with them when we meet.
“While Joondalup Health Campus understands the Islamic custom in regard to the timing of burials, Amir’s body was required to be transferred to enable a post-mortem to be undertaken.”

WA’s opposition health spokeswoman Libby Mettam said on Friday that the state should conduct its own inquiry, saying Health Minister Amber-Jade Sanderson directing the hospital to meet with the parents was “simply not good enough.”
“These parents are already living their worst nightmare,” she said.
“They should not have to openly call out our public hospital system or health minister to get an honest and thorough investigation into their child’s death.”
Minister Sanderson said it was important to allow the family’s meeting with the hospital to occur as a “first step”.
“I want the family to have the opportunity to put forward their concerns about their care,” she said.
