G. Kishan Reddy awarded with coal and mines ministry; Joshi gets MNRE, ET EnergyWorld


New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who was sworn-in as prime minister for the third consecutive term along with his 71 ministers on June 9, allocated portfolios of the newly elected ministers in his cabinet.

Former Telangana BJP chief and Secunderabad Lok Sabha MP G Kishan Reddy has been allotted ministry for Coals and Mines, an official statement said. Earlier, Reddy handled the Union ministry of tourism.

Reddy will succeed Pralhad Joshi, who has been appointed as Minister of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution and New and Renewable Energy in the new government.

Shripad Yesso Naik has been awarded the position of Minister of State in the ministry of new and renewable energy.

Meanwhile, Satish Chandra Dubey has been appointed as the Minister of State in the Coal and Mines Ministry in the new government.

The third term of Modi 3.0 begins with familiar faces retaining key portfolios. Amit Shah continues to serve as the Minister of home affairs, while Rajnath Singh remains the Minister of defence. Nitin Gadkari retains his position as the Minister of Road Transport and Highways.
